Software Review - Bitwarden
I paid $10 for Bitwarden's annual premium subscription. I didn't have to, but I wanted to be able to use TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password) to further secure my important accounts. If you don't feel the need for TOTP, bitwarden's free plan may be all you need. You can also self host your own vault which I can surely assume allows you to use TOTP for free.
Bitwarden isn't my first password manager. I was using "pass", the standard UNIX password manager, with git and a cloud server. I have almost no problems with pass's method of storing passwords. The only reason I wanted to find something new was a visual bug in "qtpass" (a GUI front end for pass), where if you right click to copy a password the menu looks fucky. I could submit a bug report but nah, I'm already on Bitwarden.
Bitwarden is THE most convenient password manager I can imagine (only tried these two). So uh trust my word on it if you can. One last big plus to bitwarden is that it goes through yearly professional security audits on their source code which is also open source for anyone to audit themselves.
